VetCAT Campaign

Bringing to Market

In 2016, Xoran Technologies began exploring the idea of marketing a portable CT scanner for veterinary use. This CT scanner – dubbed “VetCAT” began a small ad campaign in 2016, which I developed.

VetCAT Campaign

The Design

I designed this ad campaign to reflect dogs in a cute a relatable way, understanding that they each have their own personalities and what it must be like for them when they aren’t feeling well.

The Execution

The VetCAT campaign played on the relationship between cats and dogs, noting “He hopes you have a VetCAT. NOT ALL CATS ARE BAD.” It speaks to the viewer as cute, and comedic, while playing to the ultimate importance of the need for in-office CT scanning for pets.

the breakdown

Designing a strategy to bring an existing product to a different market.

Redesign

Not only did the product have to be redesigned, the image of the product needed to be adjusted for distribution in a new market. This was accomplished through a new product appearance, new branding marketing materials, and an altered logo design

Branding

Working backwards from where Xoran wanted to be with their re-imagining of veterinary CT, I helped craft a defined look for all marketing materials and branding to play on the emotions of animals in a sweet and funny way.

Delivery

Ultimately, the branding and marketing campaigns have been successful, resulting in the first installation of a VetCAT in a veterinary practice in April 2016.
